Activate cell network. When you flick up on the watch setting, you want to see the cell symbol green (not white). I fire up the appstore on my watch, browse a couple pages and this seems to do the trick. Make sure your cell symbol is green. Open spotify on your watch, the watch should be the only device, since it can't your wifi or bluetooth.

Watch cellular plan is tied to your carrier. You can be as far away from your phone as you want and you'll still be able to stream, make calls, etc with your watch. No need to have your phone with you. Leave it home and enjoy the freedom. alexvineyard • 2 yr. ago.
On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Wake Screen > turn off Auto-Launch Audio Apps.
